Jen's Bridals

We got to take Jen's bridal portraits in a new location for us - her aunt's gorgeous yard and house. We've been keeping the pictures under wraps so no one would see the dress. The wedding was last night, so we finally get to share them! Check back later in the week for the wedding photos!

Allison + Shaun's Engagements

Allison was the maid of honor at Lindsey & Danny's wedding a couple of months ago, and we were excited to get to see her to take engagement pictures! We had a great session with Allison & Shaun; they were so much fun, and so natural in front of the camera - I think Allison laughed the entire time! And even though it was a gray and windy day, we found some great fall colors at the Arboretum.

The Champions

Last Saturday we had the opportunity to take pictures of our friends' kids as an alternative to the typical school pictures. We went down to Addison Circle (which is a great place for pictures, if you're trying to pick a spot) and had lots of fun - especially with the fountains.

Audrey + Ian's Wedding

We had a beautiful day for Audrey & Ian's wedding. Nikkie & Daniel referred them to us, and we're so glad they did! All of their family and friends were just wonderful and made us feel welcome. Ian's family came all the way from England, and everyone seemed to have a great time. We even had a chunk of time after the ceremony/before the dinner to take some fun, relaxed pictures of Audrey & Ian. They're just so sweet together, and we felt honored to be a part of their wedding day!

Jennifer & Michael's Engagements

We had a beautiful day for Jennifer & Michael's engagement session. We started off at the Arboretum, then we went over to White Rock Lake for a few pictures in the nice evening light. Pumpkins, a beautiful sky, and a great couple = awesome!

Lindsey & Danny's wedding

The weeks flew by, and Lindsey & Danny's wedding was here before we knew it! They are both so much fun to be around, the wedding day just flew by as well!

The ceremony was at the beautiful Highland Park United Methodist Church:

They had a table with candy to put in cute little boxes, so we borrowed some red hots to accent the rings:

They had a photo booth for the guests to have their pictures taken. Then the picture were put in a guest book for the guests to sign. Such a great idea!





And of course, what wedding is complete without some breakdancing?

For their exit, their guests surrounded them in a "circle of love" while blowing bubbles as they danced. It was really sweet:

Lindsey & Danny's Engagements

We had a great time with Lindsey & Danny at their engagement session on Saturday! Their wedding is just 3 weeks away, but they wanted to do their engagement pictures when it wasn't so hot outside, which we were more than happy about. We'll be looking forward to the wedding just around the corner!

Jen & Patrick's Wedding

We had a great day in Tyler - Jen & Patrick got married at the very cool Villa di Felicita. If you're getting married in Tyler, I highly recommend it - gorgeous outdoor ceremony location, beautiful reception hall with "stars" in the ceiling, very helpful staff - good stuff!

Everything was just beautiful, and Jen & Patrick are both really genuine and great to be around. Here are "just a few!"

Kerry & Sam's Wedding

Kerry & Sam got married at the beautiful Wildwood Inn in Denton. They are such a fun couple and the wedding was full of laughs!

Jen's Bridals

The heat on Saturday morning was sweltering, but Jen was awesome! She has such a great smile and easygoing personality. And she had the most beautiful flowers! We're so excited for the wedding in September!

Nikkie & Daniel's Wedding

The minute we met Nikkie & Daniel, I hoped they would pick us to shoot their wedding; they were just so sweet, and seemed like so much fun. They did, and they are! Nikkie was the smiliest bride I've ever been around, and it was just a fun, happy day!
We started at NorthPark mall, where Nikkie got her make-up done at Nordstrom's. It was the first time I've gotten to go along for the make-up session, so I was excited!

Stephanie & MiC's wedding

Stephanie and MiC got married in the McKinney Performing Arts Center, a cool historic building which used to be a courthouse. The reception was at the Addison Event Center, where there was never a dull moment, especially out on the dance floor!

Jen & Patrick picked a place for their engagement pictures that we hadn't been to before: Lakeside Park in Highland Park. It's always fun to go to a new location and get new ideas, and they were up for anything, which is also great! Thanks for introducing us to a great spot!

Alicia & Mervin's Wedding

Last Saturday we had the pleasure of shooting Alicia & Mervin's wedding in downtown Ft. Worth. The day was a little hectic, and the church was a little strict, but everything turned out beautifully!

Mandy & Tim's Wedding

Last Saturday we had the honor of photographing Mandy & Tim's wedding. They got married in Mandy's aunt & uncle's backyard, which had been turned into a mini-arboretum for the occasion! It was a beautiful, intimate family ceremony, and we were very glad to be a part of it!

Nikkie's Bridals

Last Saturday morning was another close-call with the rain, but it held off and we got to do Nikkie's bridal portraits at the Arboretum. Nikkie is so sweet and so fun to work with; we can't wait for the wedding in a few weeks!

Alicia's Bridals

We spent most of last Friday holding our breath and looking out the windows watching for the rain - but the skies cleared up just in time to do Alicia's bridal portraits! We went down to the Las Colinas canals and we had a blast! Alicia was up for anything, and kept us laughing. Here are a few of my favorites:

Stephanie & MiC's Engagements

Saturday we went out to the Arboretum to take Stephanie & MiC's engagement pictures, and WOW was it hot! They were great sports though, and we had a lot of fun despite the humidity!

Kristy & Jeremy's Wedding

If anyone's been wondering where we've been or why we haven't been posting, it's not for lack of events! We just got back from a trip to Scotland celebrating our upcoming five-year anniversary. We're back now and still trying to get back into the swing of things!

A few days before we left, I had the honor of photographing Kristy & Jeremy's wedding. I say "I" instead of "we" because Darek was one of the groomsmen (Jeremy is his cousin). It was definitely the most atypical wedding I've been to - featuring kite-flying, origami-folding, Paciugo gelato instead of a cake, and pinatas instead of a bouquet toss. The guests all had a great time, and the love between Kristy & Jeremy was very evident and sweet to witness. And the bright colors were great to photograph!

Toward the end of the reception someone set the bouquet down on this table. The colors and placement was just perfect - it couldn't have looked better if it had been planned!


Sometimes at the reception the bride and groom spend so much time talking to guests and such that they barely get to spend any time together; but these guys still found some moments to focus on each other.

But the butterlies didn't want to go! They were more interested in all the bright flowers; and everyone was very interested in the butterflies:

Nikkie & Daniel's Engagements

We got to go to Deep Ellum to take Nikkie & Daniel's engagement pictures. A lot of the art (graffiti) is gone, but it's still a cool place with lots of colors - and Nikkie & Daniel have lots of personality to match! I can tell it's going to be a great wedding.

Kerry & Sam's Engagements

On Sunday afternoon we got to do Kerry & Sam's engagement portraits at the Arboretum. They were so much fun; they kept us (and each other) laughing. There was a lot of poking and squishy-facing going on. We'll be looking forward to the wedding in August! Here are just a few:

Ashley & Wes's Wedding

We were a little worried when we got to the church and saw this sign:



But Ashley was the calmest bride ever, and even when a member of the wedding party fell and sprained her ankle, the wedding continued as planned. And it turned out beautifully, and everyone had a great time!
